- The Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) has issued a call to workers across Ontario to mobilize for a massive rally in London, Ontario on Saturday, January 21 to oppose Electro-Motive Canada (a subsidiary of U.S. industrial giant Caterpillar Inc.) and its attack on decent paying Canadian jobs.

- On October 3, President Sam Hammond created a video encouraging all teachers to get out and vote this Thursday, asking all to elect an Education Friendly government that respects both the collective bargaining process and the improvements made to the Public system over the last mandate. - CBC Toronto just completed an interview with Sam Hammond on ETFO’ s ‘Refuse to Vote Against Kids’ campaign ads, for airing on television and radio today. The television interview will be broadcast between 5:00 and 6:30 pm tonight while the radio interview will be on the afternoon news, probably at 3:30 and/or 4:30 pm. Often these stories are relayed to CBC affiliates across the province.
