 We are taking the time to celebrate the wonderful resources created for our Teachers, by our Teachers! Not sure what to order from ShopETFO?  Well now you can simply ‘check it out!’  The Professional Development Committee have made the following publications available for you! All you have to do is send an email to me via lotus notes with the name of the publication that you would like, how long you would like it, and the name of your school.

This resource is for teachers who believe that deep understanding for all students should be the goal of education. Imagine A World That Is Free From Fear– $20

 More Than A Play – $5

Written by some of Canada’s foremost playwrights, this is a collection of nine short plays that explore equity and social justice issues. For junior and intermediate classes.

 Poverty and Schools in Ontario: How Seven Elementary Schools are Working to Improve Education– $10

Researchers investigated 11 schools to discover how teacher practice affects student success. The authors provide details of teachers’ work in seven schools with students and communities. Their conclusions demonstrate how others can work successfully in similar situations.

 Reflections of Me – ETFO’s Body Image Curriculum

This is a research-based resource that assists teachers in ensuring that children develop positive body image and self-esteem. Sold for individual grades from K to 6 – $20 each

Social Justice Begins with Me – $65

This revision of We’re Erasing Prejudice for Good is a literature-based, anti-bias curriculum resource with lessons by grade and division. There are 20 lessons and a resource guide for each grade.                          

 ETFO Arts Resource – $22

A practical step-by-step handbook for junior grade teachers who are inexperienced in arts education. It introduces all the elements of dance, drama, music, and visual arts and shows you how to use the arts to support literacy and other subjects.
