Teacher Rally at the Ministry of Education

Fed up with the status quo? Bring your concerns to the Ministry of Education!
Free bus leaving from Oshawa Centre (north parking lot by the old Sears buliding) at 3:30pm.
On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, starting at 4:30 p.m., join educators, parents, and other concerned community members as we take our campaign to fix the broken education funding formula to the steps of the Ministry of Education.
This rally, in advance of the Provincial Election, is an opportunity to call for improvements to our shared public education system based on ETFO’s Building Better Schools Platform.
ETFO’s eight building block vision seeks to realize better schools through:
- Fair Funding for Public Schools
- Small Classes for All Elementary Students
- More Resources for Students with Special Needs
- More Meaningful Student Assessment and Learning
- Greater Access to Specialist Teachers
- Greater Focus on Equal Opportunity and Inclusion
- A Strong Union Voice
- One Secular School System
All ETT and ETFO members, parents, and other allies are urged to join us on May 9.
Participants are encouraged to bring homemade signs in support of building better schools.
Let’s work together this election to ensure the schools that our students deserve.
