The site, developed in conjunction with ETFO’s provincial program to help locals administer their own websites, went live Dec. 2.

The new site will allow ETFO Durham’s communications officers to update news events, an events calendar, photo galleries and more by themselves, saving members the expense of hiring consultants to do this work.

The new site will benefit members by allowing news and other information to be posted more quickly, keeping you better informed.

ETFO Durham communicators expect there will be a few glitches as they learn to use the new site, but are confident they will soon get the hang of it.

The site is based on WordPress, a popular server-based software program which allows site administrators to control their own content. More than 200 million WordPress sites have been installed worldwide.
